MIUI 15 release date, device update list, features

 In late 2023’, Xiaomi will release MIUI 14’i, the next major update of the operating system based on Android 15’ (Android 13 will support). Xiaomi will bring new features and functionality to Redmi and POCO phones.

The release date will be announced later this year, but Xiaomi is already testing beta versions of the new shell for various models of smartphones and tablets. The first model to receive it was the new Redmi K60 Ultra.


MIUI 15 release date

Official MIUI 15 release date has not been announced. It will be evident in the presentation of Xiaomi in 2023. However, we can already assume that the updated operating system will be released in December 2023’. “ As it comes out of the box ” will work on the new version ( ) like Redmi Note 13> will be available with the new Xiaomi 14 series.

Xiaomi remains true to the one-year MIUI update cycle. However, while MIUI was slowly released in spring, summer or autumn after 12.5<TAG1, Xiaomi developers changed their approach to testing and publishing beta updates.

Based on the release dates of MIUI 13 and 14’, we can assume that the new operating system version will be introduced in late 2023. We are waiting for the official announcement of Xiaomi.

As usual, the first presentation in December will show the Chinese version of the operating system, after which the global models will receive the update. It will be the first flagships to be updated, followed by mid-priced smartphones. The last one is economic phones.

The upcoming shell is currently in the testing phase. If everything works as planned, the MIUI 15 beta will be available as early as September or October 2023.

MIUI 15 device list

Early beta tests of MIUI 15’ are currently underway for some flagship models, including Xiaomi 12T smartphones, Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 6 tablets. Tested in both MIUI 15’ in Chinese and global versions are participating.

Remember that Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO update every 2-3 years to understand which phones will receive the MIUI 15 update. The operating system will be compatible with all devices sold in 2023. Many models with Android 13-based hardware software will also receive the update.

Every updated version of the Xiaomi operating system depends on the Android version it is based on. In this case, Android is 14’. Developers do not need to adapt old smartphones to MIUI 15’ due to the Android framework.

Which phones may not receive MIUI 15’:

  • Mi 10S and Redmi 10 series (Redmi 10, 10 Power, 10C, 10 India, 10X, 10X 5G) — update has a chance to be released, but MIUI 15 may not come out for them due to the hardware limitations of the phones.
  • Mi 10 series (Mi 10 Lite 5G, Youth, 10T Lite, 10i 5G, Mi 10, 10 Pro, 10 Ultra, 10T, 10T Pro) — almost all Mi 10 series phones are on the EOS list. The probability of switching to MIUI 15’ is zero.
  • Redmi K30 series (Redmi K30, K30 5G, K30 Racing, K30i, K30S, K30 Pro) — Redmi K30 series devices are gradually being included in the EOS list. The possibility of updating is close to zero. Perhaps an exception can be made for high-end models, but this is unlikely.
  • The Redmi Note 9 series (Redmi Note 9, 9 5G, 9T, 9 Pro, 9 Max, 9S) is similar to the — status Redmi K30 series (EOS list of devices).
  • The Redmi Note 10 series is on the EOS list. It is unlikely that this series of phones will be updated to MIUI 15’.
  • Don't expect an update for the Redmi 9 series (Redmi 9C, 9C, 9A, 9 Prime, 9i, 9 Power, 9T) — MIUI 15. Some of the phones are already on the EOS list.
  • Redmi A1, A1 Plus and POCO C40, C50, MIUI 15 are budget models that have not even bought MIUI 14’ when it was released. They will not be updated to the latest version of the operating system.
  • POCO F1, X2, M2 Pro — are included in the EOS list and are no longer updated.
  • POCO F2 Pro, M2, M3, X3, X3 NFC — MIUI 15’i are likely to be zero due to hardware limitations. Do not trust that these models will be updated.
